CEI’s unique information delivery process begins by creating XML based digital representations of consumer electronics devices, complete with all pertinent attributes of each component. These schemas are stored in the Product Repository.

CEI engineers have developed the Logic Engine, which has the ability to analyze a series of devices and “reason” as to the best connection methodology based on that particular system, providing product specific hook-up configuration, cable requirements, system operation and product optimization across multiple product categories, brands, and models. Devices identified for analysis are determined by the product information stored in the System Locker, where users store and update their product ownership information.
