CE Interactive Focuses on $15 Billion Product Returns Problem

(PRWEB) January 13, 2005 -- Dean Summers, the founder of Partsearch Technologies, www.partsearch.com, a New York based technology company and NYNMA award winner, has stepped down as company president to focus full-time on a new consumer electronics related venture, called CE Interactive (CEI). Summers will no longer be involved in the day to day operations but will retain the founder title and continues to be a major shareholder in the company. According to Summers, Partsearch is now positioned to allow him to pursue the new business venture full time.

CEI is focused on reducing product returns for the consumer electronics industry, a problem estimated to be at $15 billion per year. CEI leverages Summers' deep industry relationships with consumer electronics manufacturers and retailers, many of which are currently signing on to use the company's solutions.

During Summers" tenure as Partsearch president, the company went from a business plan that he had originally developed to a mature technology company that has been adopted by virtually every major CE retailer in the US, including Best Buy and Radio Shack, and supported by virtually every major manufacturer. The company introduced a new business model for research and procurement of replacement parts and accessories that has become very successful. CEI was officially kicked off to the industry at the 2005 Consumer Electronics Show. Summers is an industry veteran with over 20 years in the consumer electronics industry on both the manufacturer and retail sides. He founded Partsearch Technologies in 2000.
